The Mathematics department came into existence in 2006, with the inception of the faculty of Science in the college. In November 2013, Mr. Pradip Gunvant Golhare was appointed as permanent faculty member in the department.
Faculty members in the department are actively engaged in research and their research areas include analysis, fixed point theory etc.
Faculty in the department keeps students aware about higher study in mathematics and tries to increase interest in the subject. They also strive hard to promote independent mathematical thinking among the students and to inculcate numerical skills among the students. They also take care that every student understands subtle aspects of the subject.

- Future Plans:
- To establish a departmental library so that students can get access to texts and reference books as and when required.
- To teach students how to use Latex.
- To teach students how to use softwares like Matlab for solving mathematical problems .
