- About Department:
- Ajintha Education Society’s Sant Dnyaneshwar Mahavidyalaya Soegaon established in 1971. The science faculty has been started from 2006. The Zoology dept. is established at the same time and started the education to first year students. The first graduation batch came out in 2009. It is the one of the best department in science faculty. Departmental result was always good. Students have completed their education from our department are now working in various sectors.

Our vision is to conduct innovative research, teaching and outreach on the patterns and process of life with a focus on animals and their environments and ultimately the well being of the common man through study of animal science.
Our student Dr. Misal Ganesh completed his Ph.D. in Subject of Zoology and Miss Pooja Jawale Completed M.Sc. in Zoology. Our students actively participated in science exhibition and science Mahotsav, 2017. In science exhibition, our Students of F.Y. B.Sc. Miss Gunjan Patil prepared a poster entitled “Human Evolution” in which they have shown evolution of human. Our student of S.Y.B.Sc. Miss Komal Johare has prepared a Experiment on Smoking effect on human health. Our student of S.Y. B.Sc. Miss Sonu Rathod and Mr. Amol Wankhede has prepared a “vermicompost” in which they show the use of vermicompost for farming.
