- About Department:
- Initially the college had only Arts and commerce faculties. As we were entering in the era of Science and technology, as well as the growing need of the youths from the area, the institute has taken a noble step to start science faculty in the June 2006. The science wing was started with five basic subjects, Physics is one of them. Students has three choices while admitting to B.Sc. F.Y. Physics such as,
- (i) Physics – Chemistry - Mathematics,
- (ii) Physics – Chemistry – Computer Science,
- (iii) Physics - Mathematics - Computer Science.
- Initially the department of Physics was run purely on non-grant basis from 2006 to 2008. Mr. Vinod K. Barote in June 2006 has joined as Part time lecturer. With their dedication and consistent efforts they successfully developed the department in all respects. The strength of the students is consistently rising due to the well-equipped laboratory facilities and dedicated teachers. In between; Mr. Vinod k. Barote was registered for Ph.D. in Department of Physics, Dr. B.A.M. University Aurangabad He has been awarded by Ph.D. degree by Dr.B.A.M.U Aurangabad on 03rd April 2012. In 21st June 2012 Dr. Vinod K. Barote appointed as a full time lecturer for the post of assistant professor and Head of Physics department one Lab Attendant render service to the department. The faculty have involved in the academic curriculum designed by the university continuously. The faculty members of department are engaged in research work and are active in many works of the university such as paper setter, examiner, moderator, Chief Superintendent, Joint chief for examinations, etc. In view of increasing scientific attitude of the modern society and the growing opportunities for science graduates the department of physics full-fills the aspiration of the students by giving them practical and employment orientated knowledge. The academic condition in terms of quality of faculty and teaching learning process is healthy and adequate. All the teachers of the department are sincerely engaged in scholarly pursuits.
